After more than two decades, Rafters continues to deliver the goods as a Sheffield dining hotspot. Located on the first floor of a shop in a leafy neighbourhood, there are verdant views and the contemporary, grey-hued room is smart and formal. The set menu is packed with interesting combinations which deliver on the plate. A starter of remarkably tender Moss Valley belly pork that has been cooked for 72 hours is paired with apple and kohlrabi. Main courses team an immaculately handled fillet of cod with smoked mussel chowder and broccoli. Finish with an inventive take on rhubarb and custard.
