The Malmaison team bring their brand of boutique swagger to this place in the Mailbox, a swanky shopping and eating venue. The brasserie, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary finish, is a relaxed and lively spot offering a menu of globally inspired contemporary dishes. Kick off with moules marinière or sticky Thai-style chicken wings, and move on to a steak cooked on the grill (Black Angus New York strip). With the likes of Goan tiger prawn curry and a slate of burgers up for grabs, this place is all about 21st-century comfort food. The Malbar comes into its own in the evening when cocktails and champagne bring in the crowds.
