It's hard to miss this grand cream-coloured building with its portico entrance steps, while indoors neutral tones meet shocking pink for cushions and curtain linings in the dining room, where the soundly conceived modern food produces some definite hits. Tuna with miso, passion fruit and fermented kohlrabi makes for a bracing opener, which may be followed by beef with chargrilled broccoli, aromatic polenta and smoked bone marrow or duck with plum and fermented grains. For fish, there could be something as innovative as seabass with chorizo, pak choi and cockle cassoulet, while dessert brings on chocolate with salted caramel, cashew and yoghurt.
