This purpose-built wooden structure stands on the shore, with picture windows giving unrivalled views, and simple furnishings of bare tables and banquettes. The seafood-strong menu is of the moment too. A starter of crab comes with avocado purée, white tomato mousse and semi-dried tomatoes, or there might be confit rabbit ballotine with carrot and pea salad and tarragon mayonnaise. Imaginative main courses range from John Dory fillet with gingerbread crumb, white beans, saffron emulsion and artichokes to roast turbot fillet with samphire, mash and lobster sauce, with perhaps poached chicken breast for meat-eaters. Puddings maintain the momentum: try raspberry frangipane tart with ripple ice cream.
