The Devonshire Arms has a lot going for it, from its fabulous position on the 30,000-acre estate, the luxe bedrooms and the high-end restaurant, but don't forget about the Brasserie & Bar. The menu deals in upscale modern brasserie food, with a Yorkshire flavour, so you might tuck into ham hock terrine with salt-baked beetroot and red wine mustard dressing, before cod with chorizo and crushed new potatoes, or fine pork belly with creamed sprouts and mash. There's creativity in desserts, too: perhaps set Yorkshire yogurt with apple compôte, cinnamon crumble and apple sorbet, or a version of rhubarb crumble with toasted almond ice cream.
