The Crab & Lobster restaurant offers various settings in which to dine, from a garden terrace to a room hung with a profusion of fishing nets and pots. Traditional seafood specialities cooked with flair include fresh plump blue-shelled mussels in a hearty marinière, or you might go Belgian with a preparation of cabbage, bacon and ale. Mains run to roast stone bass in bouillabaisse broth with chargrilled courgettes and baby fennel, or lobster thermidor that incorporates scallops and prawns. Ox cheek in port and Madeira pacifies the meat constituency, and it all ends with shortcrust lemon tart served with lemon curd ice cream, with orange and pink grapefruit segments.
