14th-century thatched foodie inn with daily-changing menu

Wines by the glass
Credit cards accepted

Originally part of Ingham priory, the 14th-century Swan presents the timeless face of a thatched chocolate box inn to the 21st-century world. If you fancy a pint, there's a cosy bar, but the driving force is the stylish rustic restaurant where Norfolk flint walls, oak parquet floors, beams and an inglenook are overlaid with modern art. Daily-changing menus might open with belly pork and pulled pork fritter with apple boudin and purée, followed by pan-roasted sea trout with crispy Cromer crab cakes, buttered samphire and asparagus, and sauce vièrge. End with a zesty trio of lemon posset, drizzle cake and ice cream.
