The Delaunay, like its ever-popular Piccadilly sibling, The Wolseley, was conceived in the style of the grand café-restaurants of central Europe, making a vibrant, glamorous spot, great for people watching, with slick, service and an all-day dining repertoire. Start with sautéed pierogi dumplings with cottage cheese, sage, onion and paprika butter, then sea trout with summer vegetables and sorrel beurre blanc. If you're up for something more substantial, go for Hungarian Goulash or Wiener schnitzel, and don't think of skipping dessert when there's apple and gooseberry strudel or white and dark Bavarian chocolate cream up for grabs. The Counter - with a separate entrance - offers a fabulous takeaway service.
