French super-chef Pierre Gagnaire's Sketch spans various eating and drinking spaces (see also Lecture Room & Library and The Gallery), with The Parlour being the entry-level option. It's a funky, theatrical and glamorous boudoir-style take on an all-day café serving breakfast, afternoon tea and informal European comfort food (from noon) before morphing into a lively evening cocktail bar. Smoked haddock soufflé with curried leek fondue is an impressive opener, before larger plates - chicken fricassée with ceps and Stilton mash, or Galician beef and foie gras burger. As for cakes, ooh la la: try the chocolate and caramel gâteau for a paragon of top-drawer French pâtisserie.
