This sumptuous restaurant was created by the late Kenneth Lo, one of modern Chinese gastronomy's early movers and shakers. Oriental screen dividers, clothed tables and a bottle store create a fine-dining ambience for classy Chinese cooking. The lengthy menu features crispy soft-shelled crab in excellent tempura, five spice spare ribs and soups such as lamb and cucumber. Move on to velvety slices of quick-fried lamb given a kick of ginger and spring onions, Cantonese-style sweet-and-sour prawns or crispy aromatic duck. Accompaniments such as fluffy fried rice studded with shrimps, chicken and peas are spot on, and there may be mango sorbet to finish.
