The Anglesea Arms was one of the pioneering London gastro pubs, and after a relaunch in 2014, it's as popular today as it ever has been, with a new chef at the helm to kickstart 2017. A goats’ curd starter with heritage beetroot, castlefranco radicchio, blood orange and hazelnuts is a perfect summery opener, followed perhaps by a classic chargrilled rib-eye steak or braised lamb shank with red wine and porcini. If you're in the mood for fish, there might be pan-roast whole lemon sole with sautéed clams and samphire. Finish with chocolate terrine with almond shards and blackcurrant sorbet, or sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice cream.
