Wines by the glass

After a top-to-toe makeover in 2017, this vibrant enterprise now comprises a contemporary restaurant, a gin bar and a casual daytime deli/café. Sitting cheek by jowl with the landmark Whalley Viaduct, it's ideally placed for friendly get-togethers accompanied by unfussy bistro-leaning dishes with hearty Irish and British accents. Expect to kick off with the likes of slow-cooked pork belly with confit egg yolk and black pudding and chilli purée, followed by spanking-fresh brill fillet served alongside wilted baby spinach, fennel bonbons, and vermouth and caper sauce. For pudding, there's the comfort of custard tart with passionfruit sorbet and pistachio meringues.
