Located in a prime position above the fishing village of Lochinver, Chez Roux commands breathtaking views of the loch and surrounding area, making window seats highly sought-after. Inside, warm colours prevail and the smattering of tartan leaves you in no doubt of your whereabouts. The menu changes regularly but three of Monsieur Roux's signature dishes remain on the menu – soufflé Suissesse; poached pike quenelles with wild mushroom duxelles and Nantua sauce; and classic caramelized lemon tart. The Highland venison Wellington with chanterelle mushrooms and port wine reduction is an interesting take on a classic dish.
