From the people behind Glasgow food institution, Ubiquitous Chip and its sister restaurant, Stravaigin, this colourful West End venture is set across two buzzing floors. The canteen-style vibe suits the authentic street food menu of dazzling Vietnamese flavours. The menu gives the Vietnamese names of dishes followed by an English translation, thus ‘cha lua pork’ is a flavour-packed starter of pork and lemongrass kebab skewered on roast sugarcane with fresh herbs and blistered chilli sauce. It might be followed by ‘ca thu rung ca ri’ – mackerel and bamboo jungle curry with crushed peanuts, purple egg and coriander. There are classic pho dishes, too.
