Enjoying an enviable waterfront position 200 yards from the Old Course at St Andrews, the restaurant sits precariously balanced over the edge of the sea wall. With waves crashing on the rocks below, the decor does nothing to distract the eye from the nearby marine activity. From the open kitchen, the fish and seafood dishes are as enlivening as the sea spray itself. The freshness of the produce is encapsulated in a starter of sashimi (sea bream, tuna, salmon) served with wasabi, while a fillet of cod with borlotti beans, chorizo, squid and red pepper sauce is a robust main.
