Dating back to the early Tudor era, The White Hart is a classic timbered country inn set in extensive grounds. Crisp white napery and quality tableware confer distinctive class on the dining room, where a daring pairing of seared scallops and smoked duck breast, with shallot purée, pickled onion, grapefruit and radish, bursts with flavours, while citrus-cured trout comes with Cromer crab and a mousse of smoked salmon. At main, salt marsh lamb is stuffed with haggis alongside a pink noisette and a kidney, as well as rosemary polenta and wild mushrooms. In conclusion, go for strawberry cheesecake with matching jelly and sorbet and a white chocolate and Amaretto mousse.
