Located in the bustling strip along the Dart waterfront, The Seahorse is an inviting evening venue, while big windows let in the Devon light on summer days. Mussels cultured in nearby Elberry Cove, summer crustacea and seasonal veg from the vicinity and from markets just across the Channel add lustre to menus that take in risotto of mixed seafood, bream fillet steamed in paper with garlic, rosemary and chilli, roast turbot fillet with chive butter and - for the seafood refuseniks - osso buco. Many dishes are cooked over an open charcoal fire, used for anything from monkfish to rump steak. Lemon sorbet with elderflower fizz makes a distinguished finale.
