Situated on a clifftop, there is a real sub-tropical feel to this handsome granite and slate house. When the sun shines, a table on the terrace with views across Mevagissey Bay is worth its weight in gold, but the view is pretty special from inside, too. What appears on the menu is grounded in the local environment, with a decent showing of seafood. Start with venison Wellington and pickled red cabbage before a main course John Dory, galette potatoes, clams, fennel, brown shrimp and pomegranate salsa. Coconut crème brûlée, banana bread and banana sorbet is a typical dessert.
