Located in the sedate West Shore part of the town, and with unrestricted views over the coastline and restless sea, The Lilly can offer snacks and grills in its Madhatters Brasserie, or the Full Monty in the flamboyantly decorated restaurant. With only 10 tables, the restaurant is the setting for menus that combine creativity with comforting familiarity. Kick off with scallops with a crab Scotch egg and sweetcorn purée, and move on to a duo of Welsh lamb (rump and braised shoulder), or go for posh fish and chips with tartare dressing. There's fillet steak, too with traditional accompaniments, and, for dessert, a classic lemon tart delivers a satisfying sharpness.
