Imaginative cooking of local ingredients overlooking Loch Fyne

This fine example of 19th-century Scottish baronial architecture sits proudly on the Kintyre peninsula overlooking Lock Fyne. Richly decorated public spaces speak of the long history here, while open fires and stunning views set the scene for simple cooking with a country-house feel. A starter of 'Taste of Loch Fyne' comes in the form of a seafood risotto and crispy kelp. A main course of lamb three ways features herb-crusted lamb cutlet, lamb shank stovies and lamb neck tortellini with globe artichoke, smoked aubergine, wild garlic purée and caper jus. Fill what room you have left with poached rhubarb, custard pannacotta and ginger nut biscuits.
