Corner village pub with beers from far and wide

At a glance

Bar menu
Restaurant menu

Believed to have been built in the late 17th or early 18th century, the pub has oak timbers, open log fires, soft furnishings and an enclosed garden with a covered patio. There seem to be no geographical limits on real ale sourcing, with Cocker Hoop from Cumbria sharing the bar with, perhaps, Boondoggle from Hampshire. In addition to old favourites such as blade of beef slowly braised in ale, are the international dishes such as Hungarian pork goulash; yellow Thai fish curry; and coq au vin. Sundays mean roast beef, pork or chicken, as well as hand-made faggots and Moroccan vegetable tagine.
