Pub grub in snug surroundings

Bar menu

Breaking a motorway journey to find a pleasant pub doesn't always pay off, but it should do at the 'Rosie'. Leave the M5 at junction 9 and rejoin at junction 8 (or vice versa) and it won't take long to reach this pretty, 500-year-old, black-and-white pub at the end of a short lane leading to the village church. The large inglenook in the intimate bar is studded with horse brasses, although do watch out for low-flying beams. Essentially a pub grub menu listing light bites; fish and meat platters; salads; cottage pie; trio of sausages and mash; lasagne and chip; smoked haddock Florentine; and all-day breakfasts. Chicken nuggets and pizzas for children.
