Midway between Tewkesbury and Evesham, this rambling Georgian country inn has the Cotswolds beckoning just to the east and shapely Bredon Hill rising immediately to the north. The Beckford, now owned by the Wadworth brewery, is an enticing mix of contemporary comforts and traditional fixtures throughout. A typical meal might include baked camembert with red onion chutney; or prawn and apple cocktail as starters; pork and leek sausages, root vegetable mash and red wine and onion gravy; shortcrust pastry pie of the day; and home-made butternut squash, courgette, mushroom and spinach lasagne. Pizzas, sandwiches and wraps are also on the menu.
