This rural free house has been under the same family ownership for over 30 years and lies deep in the Sussex countryside. It offers a welcome haven free from music and fruit machines. Hearty home-cooked pub food, such as their popular chilli; and ham, free-range egg and chips plus an enticing selection of five real ales are served over what is reputed to be the widest bar counter in Sussex. Sip a pint of Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter or Weltons Pridenjoy whilst admiring the rolling countryside from the large, quiet, south-facing garden. Village-brewed cider is a speciality.
