This picture-perfect Grade II listed building dates from the 18th century and has been sympathetically extended to preserve its traditional feel. Look out for the glass-topped well as you come in. Enjoy a pint of Harvey's or a real cider while perusing the menu, which offers specials and pub classics. Try chicken and rabbit liver parfait with red onion marmalade; pan-fried sea bass fillet, beetroot purée, orange braised chicory and sauté potatoes; wild mushroom, sun-blushed tomato and mozzarella potato gnocchi; or calves’ liver, smoked bacon, bubble-and-squeak, kale and onion gravy. The pub garden is home to a 250-year-old cider press.
