Anglo-French cuisine in waterside location

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

This food-led pub beside the Grand Union Canal is a popular stop for boaters on England's arterial waterway. Diners may look forward to dishes created by Raymond Blanc protégés Charles Harris and Nigel Brown, whose ever-evolving Anglo-French menu relies on local suppliers for the ingredients. A sharing charcuterie board is a substantial starter; mains include 28-day dry-aged Aberdeenshire steaks, or perhaps pan-fried duck breast, confit duck leg croquette, herb rösti, wilted spinach and orange jus. Fruit ciders, a decent wine list and beer from Warwickshire craft brewery slip down easily on the waterside terrace.
