This inn stands near the top of an old village tucked away along country lanes in the Vale of Glamorgan, with the captivating coastline of the Bristol Channel just a short hop away. The eye-catching exterior beckons villagers and explorers into a cottagey, beamed interior with lots of prints, brass and antiques. The locally sourced menu, which is strong on seafood dishes, may start with prawn cocktail with brandy-infused Marie Rose sauce, or deep-fried breaded brie wedges with mild cranberry salsa; followed by the inn's popular fish pancake; home-made steak and kidney pie; or port and mushroom braised steak.
