This former wheelwright’s shop is over 440 years old and still has wood fires burning in the inglenook fireplaces and original flagstones in the bar. At the bar counter you'll find Surrey Hills Shere Drop which is brewed just six miles from the pub. Much of the food on the seasonal menu is cooked in the wood-fired oven, including the steak burger and fish pie. A separate list of ‘Daily Doings’ features specials from the butchers, fishmongers and gamekeepers.
