Some parts of this appealing, architecturally mixed-up building are known to date from the 15th century, whilst the popular locals’ bar with its fire and traditional pub games is somewhat younger. Situated by a large green bordered by old houses and the medieval church, The Plough today is a cracking village pub. Beers from the Hall & Woodhouse list slake the thirst of walkers enjoying exploration of the Surrey Weald, whilst the popular pub grub menu of bangers and mash or fish and chips is supplemented by chicken fillet, Black Forest ham or lamb steak dishes. The home-made pies also prove very popular.
