When Alexander Aitchison and Lillie Fulford arrived at the old Queen's Head Inn in 2015, they gave it a more modern look, a shorter name and a new lease of life. Alexander's venison, beetroot, carrot and sorrel makes an interesting starter; follow with lamb with salsify, onions, mushrooms and leeks; and lastly lemon, honey and almond meringue. A reasonably priced wine list partners real ales from mostly East Anglian breweries, such as Adnams and Grain. The pair plan to grow their own fruit and vegetables in the field behind the pub.
