This pub is part of a purpose-built marina complex, and is constructed with reclaimed materials to resemble a Victorian canalside warehouse. Overlooking busy moorings, it offers beers specially brewed for the pub and a fair few cocktails. Dine in the contemporary conservatory from an extensive menu of snacks, oven-fired pizzas, and old favourites like chicken balti; braised beef ribs; and moules marinière. Vegetarians might like the Ch’ish (battered haloumi) and chips. Children over five are welcome. A walk along the Trent & Mersey towpath leads to the nearby National Memorial Arboretum, the UK’s Centre of Remembrance.
