Surrounded by splendid Somerset countryside, the pub dates back to the mid-1700s and prides itself on its friendly, community atmosphere and the quality of its wines and West Country beers. Wholesome home-made food is served, prepared from local produce, with a good choice of snacks and pub classics; at dinner you might find smoked haddock Scotch egg; or crispy haggis bon bons, followed by monkfish, chorizo and white bean stew; and wild mushroom risotto.
