Bar menu
Beer festival

Wooden floors, contemporary furnishings, artworks, subtle lighting and that all-important log fire characterise this 18th-century coaching inn. A huge silver spoon and fork dominate one wall of the modern bar, a subtle hint perhaps to study the menu, while enjoying that pint of Inveralmond Ossian. Beef may come from the family farm and the fish is fresh from Eyemouth, while receiving the garden smokehouse treatment are pork, salmon, chicken and even cheeses. Daily blackboard specials add to a regularly changing menu that typically features smoked duck breast and soft boiled duck egg; pan-seared scallops with red lentil, coconut and coriander dahl; and apple and caramel turnover with cinnamon ice cream and caramel sauce. A garden with fruit trees overlooks open countryside.
