A warm welcome and great local atmosphere characterise this village pub, which has a traditional public bar and a high-ceilinged wood-panelled lounge opening into a smarter but relaxed area with solidly comfortable furnishings. The lunch bar menu includes sandwiches, filled baguettes and a selection of home-made dishes. The evening menu majors on home-made, hearty dishes such as boeuf bourguignon; pork loin and mushroom Stroganoff; lamb shank braised in red wine; and sea bass, Italian tomato, olives and caper sauce. A children’s menu is always available. There is a new function room, large car park and an attractive garden for sunny days.
