This delightful 16th-century inn fulfils a role as a true community pub, with a reputation for its family- and dog-friendly attitude, its excellent beers and a range of high-quality, locally-sourced, ‘nothing-out-of-a-packet’ dishes. The interior is modern and styled in calming colours. A seasonal menu might well feature the likes of twice baked cheddar cheese soufflé, blushed tomato, red onion and walnut salad; and cheddar, leek and feta sausages, spring onion mash, and red onion gravy.
