Quality modern cooking in traditional village coaching inn

At a glance

Bar menu
Dog friendly
Free Wi-Fi

Built in traditional Northamptonshire ironstone, this lovely 17th-century coaching inn retains plenty of original character courtesy of log fires and beamed ceilings. A wide choice of beers keep beer fans happy, while the seasonal menu showcases regional produce. Start with smoked haddock fishcakes with creamed leeks; or braised rabbit leg with Puy lentils and bacon, then move on to wild mushroom and spinach 'cottage pie' and seasonal vegetables; or smoked salmon, tiger prawn and tenderstem broccoli linguine.
