A Provenance Inns group member, the 16th-century Punch Bowl commands a central location in the village. Its beamed, wood-floored bar and tap-room's generous seating includes a settle, and there's a log fire in each of the six eating areas. Kick of a good meal with pan-fried pigeon breast, black pudding, rosemary lentils and pickled blackberries; or monkfish scampi, then move onto to vension haunch, fondant potato, roast chestnuts and dates; or pan-fried salmon fillet, shellfish bisque, purple potatoes, spinach and samphire. Summer barbecues are held in the courtyard.
