Standing at the heart of a picturesque village complete with stocks and a market cross, this Georgian coaching house dates back to 1720. The old-world charm of the location is echoed inside the bar and restaurant, with real log fires and exposed beams. Enjoy well-kept Theakston Best Bitter and guest ales, bitters, lagers and wines and tuck into slow-braised daube of beef with mashed potato; 10oz gammon rasher with egg or pineapple, and homemade chips; and beer battered haddock fillet and chips.
