Pint of beer on a bar

The Falcon Inn

In the Yorkshire Dales National Park

Bar menu
Open all year
Wheelchair access

At the top of the village is the Falcon, a truly unspoilt old inn with an ivy-clad exterior and mullioned bay windows. It once served time as the original Woolpack of TV's Emmerdale, while Arncliffe itself doubled as the soap village. Timothy Taylor Boltmaker is dispensed from cask to jug to glass, with the hand pump reserved for guest ales. Snug and back-bar snacks are usually ploughman's; sandwiches; pork pie and mushy peas; warm cheese and onion pasty; soup of the day; and Mother’s fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese. Twenty-four hours' notice is needed for an evening meal in the dining room.
