Set up by Paul Theakston, a member of Masham’s famous brewery family, in the former Wellgarth Maltings in 1992, the complex includes an excellent visitor centre and a popular bar and bistro. Don't miss the fascinating tour of the brewery. Next take in the wonderful views over the River Ure and surrounding countryside as you sup tip-top pints of Riggwelter and Best Bitter; then tuck into a good plate of food, perhaps steak, Riggwelter and mash pie with a cheddar topping; roast vegetable curry; or a Wensleydale cheese sandwich.
