An iconic Yorkshire dining pub for decades, The Black Bull Inn was bought and refurbished by Provenance Inns. With its stone-flagged floors, exposed brickwork and cosy corners, it’s a great setting for some classic pub food. Seafood’s a speciality, so go for some Lindisfarne oysters, or you could kick off with Black Bull apple and chorizo black pudding with tarragon hollandaise and heritage tomatoes, before moving on to the gourmet fish pie, perhaps, or Yorkshire venison with wild mushrooms, roast parsnip and garlic and herb fondant. Big Bertha, the solid steel and cast iron charcoal fired oven, guarantees perfectly cooked rib-eye, sirloin and fillet steaks.
