Very old pub in lovely seaside village

Bar menu
Kids play area

Tucked away in a popular fishing village close to north Norfolk's coastal path (Peddars Way), this thriving free house is the perfect refreshment stop following an invigorating walk, time spent birdwatching, or a boat trip to the nearby seal colony. Open all day and run by the same family for 43 years, it serves an excellent selection of real ales, including Norfolk-brewed Woodforde’s Wherry that is backed by menus featuring locally caught fish and seasonal seafood. Perhaps locally gathered mussels in rich garlic cream sauce; cod, prawn and bacon chowder; steak and Adnams ale suet pudding; and braised Norfolk pheasant, herb stuffing, chipolatas, thyme and bacon jus.
