Remote and peaceful – a walker's haven

At a glance

Bar menu
Beer festival
Open all year

Popular with walkers, this friendly, whitewashed pub in the Brecon Beacons National Park has a garden with views of the Malvern Hills and a traditional interior with flagstoned bar area and a wood-burning stove. Little has changed since the new owners arrived in late 2015. So, it’s still the perfect setting for a pint of well-kept Rhymney Bitter or one of around 60 single malt whiskies behind the bar. Good, home-cooked food is the order of the day. The pub hosts two beer festivals – in May and August.
