Smart London corner pub serving excellent modern food
At a glance
A striking corner-plot destination dining pub in leafy Dulwich, heavy on the wood panelling, with stripped floorboards and some great floor tiling. The kitchen creates modern British menus with a Mediterranean twist. Start with Cornish mussels or beetroot pearl barley risotto before moving on to braised rabbit leg, cannellini beans, bacon and tarragon; or barbecue monkfish tail. Locals pop in for some flavoursome beers, too, from the likes of Timothy Taylor, and perhaps one of the 30-plus wines offered by the glass. Occasional photographic exhibitions add to the interior’s flair. A private dining room with a roof terrace is also available.
