Situated just five minutes from the Fulham Broadway tube station, this 18th-century building, still has its old name – The Jolly Maltster - on a gable-end. The kitchen’s policy is to source the ingredients from independent local suppliers for the modern dishes they serve. To convey an idea of the style, starters include London gin-cured salmon gravad lax, honey and mustard dressing, beetroot gel and quails’ eggs; and whipped goats’ cheese, figs, Marcona almonds, truffle honey and pitta bread; and for mains, roasted hake in Serrano ham, saffron risotto, charred broccoli, lemon, chilli and garlic; and slow-cooked charred spring lamb shoulder, imam bayildi and coriander yogurt.
