Located in a trendy part of town where a great many pubs have been reinvented to become diners or restaurants, The Atlas is one of only a handful of London pubs to have a walled garden. Just around the corner from West Brompton tube, this traditional, relaxed local remains true to its cause with a spacious bar area split into eating and drinking sections. Typical menus might feature starters such as terrine de volaille, quince and ginger compote and brioche toasts; or burrata and fig sald with pink peppercorns, pesto, mixed leaves and foccacia. Tempting mains demonstrate some Italian influences in dishes such as penne with Italian sausage ragu; or roast monkfish with prosciutto and sage, sautéed potatoes, tomatoes, peas and oregano. There are good choices on the wine list, with around 15 by the glass for those who want to match different dishes.
