This beamed and wood-panelled former farmhouse overlooking the River Trent has buckets of character. Ale lovers can enjoy the likes of Lancaster Bomber and Roosters Buckeye and food gains much praise for its food, to be enjoyed in the ground-floor lounge with open fire. As well as steaks, burgers and salads, steak and ale pie, vegetable lasagne and fish pie all make an appearance on the extensive menu.
