Historic village inn with seafood specialities

A pub since 1872, this was originally a farmhouse brewing beer for its workers. The current name honours Ralph Assheton, Lord Clitheroe, for his contribution during World War II. Now it’s owned by the Seafood Pub Company, which refreshed the stylish restaurant while preserving its traditional village inn credentials. You’ll find a great choice of real ales, including Moorhouse’s White Witch, and local sourcing is key, with fresh fish and seafood supplied daily.
