Named after poet Siegfried Sassoon, who was born in this quintessentially English village just outside Tunbridge Wells, this Grade II listed pub is more than 350 years old. The pub, now with new landlords, retains its original character with the beams and antiques, but comfortable leather chesterfield sofas and armchairs add an elegant edge. Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter and guest ales can be found at the bar.
