All flagstones, floorboards, beams, settles and wood-burners, this lovely ancient thatched pub occupies an enviable position in the gently rolling countryside towards the western tip of the island. With fabulous English Channel views from the pleasant garden here, customers can enjoy a wide variety of ales and choose from a menu that has something for everyone. Expect to find moules marinière, home-made Ventnor crab cake; seafood mixed grill; vegetable lasagne; and 10oz rump steak with all the trimmings, whilst the specials board highlights the pie of the day. Gluten free-dishes are marked on the menu. There’s live music on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
